Irie Lynn Session
Rev. Session is a graduate of Southwestern Christian College and received her Bachelors degree in Social Work from Oklahoma Christian College. In May 2006 she received the Masters of Divinity degree with certification in Black Church Studies from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. She is the Associate Area Minister for the North Texas area of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest, and an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She is also an author, trainer, speaker for conferences, retreats and workshops, and a Bible class instructor. She has been a featured speaker at women’s conferences and workshops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Oklahoma, Dallas, and other Texas cities since 1992 and has been a speaker at the Pepperdine University Bible Lectureship. She also works for a faith-based ministry that originated at, and is primarily sponsored by, Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas, The ministry, "New Friends New Life", assists women in leaving sexually oriented businesses such as prostitution. Most of the women she serves have had a history of violent physical and sexual abuse, with some having a history of substance abuse. She is also founder of TTS Ministry, Inc (Tell The Secret Ministry Inc). Irie is currently the Senior Pastor of New Life Christian Church in Dallas, Texas.
