White? Bluebonnet  04/18/07

The state flower of Texas is the Bluebonnet.  A rare variation of the bluebonnet is a loss of some or all of the pigment occasionally occurs that turns the bluebonnet into a flower with varying shades of white, white w/pink, and white w/blue.  I have photographed bluebonnets for 40 years and have never seen these shades elsewhere except in a small radius around and on my property.  The bluebonnet is extremely prolific in many areas of Texas in the mid April to May.
