Wolfe's Pecan Nursery

This beautiful old office building is no longer extant.  Business expansion of a growing town made the land under this sturcture many times more valuable that the structure itself.  That is a huge loss as it was unique in construction.  The sturcture shows some of the typical design characteristics of smaller buildings and houses that are visible in many of my grandfather's designs.  It was unique in that the exterior was constructed of petrified wood, mineral ores, and larger fossils that used to be abundant in Erath, Somervell, and Bosque Counties.  Those materials are no longer available.  The images were supplied by the Historical Archives in Stephenville.  I am trying to obtain a few more but have not heard back from this contact at the present time.
