This is my Cheers and Jeers page which is a page where I make comments about my dealings with various companies. The good experiences I have when dealing with companies and businesses from small to large will be documented on this page and the bad experiences I have will also be documented here. You may consider these for what they are worth and use your own judgment regarding dealing with these companies. If a company reads this page, finds that they do not like my comments regarding their services rendered and want a Jeer removed, all they have to do is correct the problem to my satisfaction and I will give them a credit for that on my page and then archive the Jeer!

Dr. Amiee Coker, Glen Rose, TX. After seeing the same physician for more than 20 years, he decided to change from family medicine to become an emergency room physician. Dr. Coker had been a part of his clinic and in the year prior to the change, she had opened her on family care clinic. From the first examination by her to the present, she has always been friendly, easy to talk to, and taken a very personal interest in my medical life and care. She is in her mid thirties, has children the same age as my granddaughter, and raised in the community she now serves. I highly recommend her for a family physician! Last year when I was being diagnosed with rotator-cuff problems, the MRI showed a surprise that we just had not counted on. It showed a tumor in my right arm in a position that my orthopedic physician said needed an orthopedic tumor specialist to remove. He told me there were three in the state of Texas he would recommend. He sent me to Dr. Richie-Gillespie, who is on the teaching staff of the University of North Texas Medical School in Ft. Worth. This is another case of "we hit it off right off the bat" type experience. The first time I saw her we ended up talking about our interests in horses and kids while I was being examined. She was right up front about all the risks involved in the surgery while make me feel very confident in her abilities as a surgeon. That confidence was not misplace! She is a very talented surgeon! The tumor was in the worst possible position for me and the removal took longer than expected. However, her skill as a surgeon resulted in the successful removal of the tumor with none of the expected post operative problems which could have resulted in my loss of employment. Not only is Jerry's a dealership where you can get a good deal in a Nissan Titan, their service facility is top notch with highly trained service writers and mechanics who take care of the customer. Nissan built a really good truck when they built their Titan line, but like any mechanical device, sometimes things break and service is required. They have really stood behind their warranty contract, provided excellent customer service, even provided a rental when they would have to keep the truck for more than 24 hours. I have a salesman at Jerry's, Rick Mitchell, who has now sold us nine vehicles since we started doing business with Jerry's (an hour drive from my house!). He really works for his repeat customers and comes up with deals that are very fair! Rick is the top salesman on the pre-owned lot but he can also sell new. If you decide to give Rick a call, be sure to tell him that I recommended him to you. They also sell GM and Toyota vehicles.
Cheers to the Bosque County Sheriff's Department
When my 87 year old mother was the victim of ID theft and care giver abuse over the last year, I did the basic investigative work and put it together to show to law enforcement to see if they saw the same thing I saw. The saw it right off, took what I had done, and were able to expand on the investigation, file charges, and make an arrest. The Sheriff's Office handling of the case has been professional, friendly, concerned for my mother, and intent of bringing the perpetrator to justice! The deputy handling the case was a recent addition to the Sheriff Office by the Sheriff and is a real credit to our Sheriff's Office! Working with the Asst. Cheers to Discover Card
My 87 year old mother was the victim of ID theft and care giver abuse over the last year. When initially reported, Discover's credit card security department started their own investigation and determined that about 95% of the amount owed on my mother's card was from fraudulent use and credited the card with many thousands of dollars. Wow! They really raised my personal opinion of Discover because of their actions!
Jeers and Cheers to Farm Bureau VISA
While they have allowed us a special interest rate with low payback monthly rate, they have, so-far, been slow to co-operate with requests records to be used in the investigation and prosecution of the perpetrator of the elderly abuse.
Jeers Wal-Mart (GE Money Bank!)
They have refused, so far, to credit my mother's accounts for the fraudulent use of my mother's credit cards or lower the interest rates they are charging because of the ID theft, fraudulent usage, and failure to pay the monthly statements on time which was caused by the care giver. They have also been slow to co-operate with the investigation. We are still paying for the fraudulent usage at higher than normal interests rates that they will not lower!
JEERS to Emerson Mobile
They will not stand behind their claimed warranty. Almost one year ago I purchased an Emerson Mobile video monitor to use in a rear view CCTV system on my truck. After only three months of use, a black "hole" appeared on the screen that was, at first, only a few pixels but finally grew to the size of a quarter. This "dead" area of the LCD is almost in the center of the screen. After four attempts to obtain warranty coverage within the one year warranty period, I gave up! The repeatedly told me to send them an email to a certain address and I would receive warranty coverage. This was just a lie to get me off their customer service warranty phone line. I even sent them digital photos to show them what was happening. I never received and answer to any of my emails! Do not purchase their equipment if you don't like dealing with companies that don't stand behind their products!
Jeers to Sears and their credit policies!
They cancelled my 34+ year credit account that had never had a late payment and had no outstanding balance, based on an erroneous credit report, and did not bother to tell me about the cancellation until we decided to purchase a new refrigerator after receiving an advertised special promotion in the mail. We got the unit but not without a fight and they then said our account was closed and no longer useable. We had bought numerous Sears appliances, exercise equipment, and hand and yard tools from them over the years. I now go elsewhere for those items!
Jeers To Cabbella's
They did the same thing that Sears did to me, cancelled my credit without bothering to tell me until I tried to pay for an order using the card. This was based on the same flawed credit report!
Jeers to Washington Mutual Bank (WAMU)
They are the ones who caused my credit report to be screwed up by filing a report that said I had not made payments on a credit card account that belonged to my daughter. They filed on me because of my daughter! Go figure! They have been notified by my daughter several times that they filled an erroneous report but they refuse to remove the hit on my credit. I have NEVER dealt with this bank and will never deal with this bank in the future because of this!
